As you can tell from looking at the cover, this is Private's knockoff of the adaptation of Frank Miller's Sin City, a noir comic book about dames, vice, crime and guns. It owes little of its plot to the source material, relying instead on black and white filming with occasional splashes of color, usually the red of dresses, lips or blood to evoke the original. A lot of the action is also played against film stock backgrounds so that, for instance, the opening scene has American flags flying in the background breeze while the characters stand next to a police car labelled NYPD, and characters often walk into or out of slightly unreal backdrops. The production values are pretty high as far as sets and costumes go, but the net effect of having second-rate special effects is to cheapen the whole thing by making you notice how bad they are, particularly in comparison to the movie they're modeled on.
The only reason to pay attention at all to what is passing for a plot is to try and keep track of the women, a parade of reasonably hot but mostly unremarkable Eastern European small-timers; there are no Silvia Saints or Wanda Curtises in this movie, which is surprising; you'd think that Private, which put some time and money into the movie, would have wanted to dress it up with some marquee stars. Unfortunately, though, most of them are listed in the credits as things like "Girl with El Macho's friends" and "Carla's Roommate" which means that if you want to know which one is which in the absence of recognizable faces, you have to find out who El Macho is and which one's Carla, which requires paying attention to the whole thing, and that's tough because this is a very bad movie, plotwise.
As near as I can tell, a guy named Bleck has just gotten out of prison, only to find himself mixed up with at least two and possibly three gangsters, some crooked politicians, some hookers, some strippers, some cops, and maybe some mercenaries. In his first few minutes out of the joint, he rescues a girl who's being harassed by punks, and takes her for a drink.
Scene 1: Lucie Ann
Lucie Ann is lonely and sad on a balcony, but she's accosted by a man who gives her a cigarette, takes her inside, and lets her suck his cock before bending her over a chair and fucking her from behind. She takes a reverse cowgirl ride and then switches his cock into her ass, still in RCG, and finally climbs off to take a monstrous load on her face. A few minutes later, as he's dressing to leave, he shoots her with a silenced pistol - it turns out her husband paid for a hit.

He tells how Junior Stark, son of one of Sex City's big wheels, has kidnapped a girl and is planning to fuck her and then kill her, but also tells how he's going to stop that from happening. He's going to do it with the help of his partner, who is actually concentrating a lot more on getting a freebie from a hooker at the docks.
Scene 2: Wildy, Bibi Fox
A dockside whore (Wildy), accosts an off-duty cop and winds up on her knees giving him head while elsewhere Stark Junior fucks a hooker (Bibi Fox) as his captive - the stripper Sandy - is forced to watch. The cop's whore gets fucked doggystyle over the side of the cop's car, then in missionary, and then in cowgirl on the back seat. The cops arrive, and Bleck leaps out a window and heads off to visit Carmen, a lesbian he knows. She happens to be in the middle of some lesbianism with a couple of her friends, so he watches their antics while he fixes up his battered face. Elsewhere, other things are happening, and it is at this point that the movie becomes impossible to follow as far as distinguishing the girls. There are three lesbians on a bed, and which one is which is a thorny question. Two are brunettes, one a blonde. Somewhere else, there is a man having sex with a woman, but who they might be is also unclear. I apologize for not having the patience to figure out who all these nameless one-timers are, but the chances are you have never heard of most of them and will never see most of them again, and if you do, they will have changed their names to something less generic than Nella, Susanne, Angelina or Cindy. Please, if you have a big crush on a girl named Victory, Vanessa, or Gwen, buy this movie. They're all in here somewhere, but I regret that I cannot tell you where.
Scene 5: Aphrodite Night, Nella, Susanne, man, woman
The three lesbians on the bed run through the standard porn lesbian gamut of fingering, tonguing, kissing and penetrating each other with dildoes in bright colors. It turns out that Carmen is one of the brunettes. Of the other two, one is Nella and one is Susanne. They work each other over. Without names or any way to tell you who's who, it is impossible to describe the action. If you think a lot about trios of lesbians, please buy this movie, as there is a trio of lesbians in it and they are naked and having threeway lesbian sex, which you enjoy watching. Meanwhile, a man and a woman, similarly unidentifiable, are having sex in a hotel room. He goes down on her, she goes down on him, and the action cuts back to Carmen's bathroom, where Bleck has eaten an entire bottle of boner pills. This is where we find out which one Carmen is, because she comes into her bathroom to find out who's in there and winds up taking care of Bleck's raging chemically induced erection. Back in the hotel room, Man is fucking Woman in what might be spoon and might be missionary depending on where you think a girl's left leg ought to be for either one of those positions. Meanwhile, back in the bathroom, Carmen is riding Bleck in reverse cowgirl. Meanwhile, on the bed, the two remaining lesbians are carrying on without Carmen, with the blonde using a silver vibrator on the brunette's ass. You will be fine if you don't try to watch this movie or figure out who is who in it. Also, if you can ignore the music, which is terrible, you will be better off. Actually, terrible is not the right word. Abysmal is even not quite right. The music is execrable! Sex City suffers from all the faults of Private's various feature films, including a tremendous sense of its own seriousness, overacting, and the fact that although it has five language tracks, nary a one matches up with everybody's lips, which always leaves me wondering exactly what language it was filmed in, and what kind of Babel the set must have been. On the rare occasions when the dialogue does synch up, it's more an accident, since the whole thing was obviously redone in a sound lab; the result leaves you with a sterile feeling from the whole thing. On the other hand, the truth is that that's all true of every Private movie. There's plenty of sex with good-looking women and men, and the director at least attempts to do something interesting with special effects and camera work; if it didn't have a n original to stand up to, it might even come off as worthwhile. Judged on its own merits, Sex City is an average Private release, not worth any special attention but not any worse than the rest of the canon , either.
A final word on the confusion with the cast: it looks like what happened here is that Sex City was filmed all at once and then divided up into three parts. I think what's going on here is that the cast list is the list for all three movies, so there are people in it that do not appear in Part One at all. So if you're wondering where the bitches from Area 69 are - and incidentally their names are Coskova, Noskova, Holockova, Zolykova, Vockorova, Tallerova, Ouhrabkova, and Rosenkrancova - there, maybe, is your answer. Just for laughs, in the bar scene, there is an extra named Veronica Jirkalova. Ha ha.
