A fetid, anime-inspired crapfest directed by Michael Raven, Angel X gets its priorities ass-backward. The goofy plot, elaborate sets and laughable special effects are taken seriously, while the sex is slow, soft-focus and cable-ready. Titular heroine Kaylani Lei is actually hot without the Kabuki makeup she wears throughout. She shares a soft-core, lovey-dovey night with co-star Asia Carrera and a mist-filled boff with an extra-dimensional stranger who packs condoms. Bad guy Nick Manning and his cronies reside in a dungeonous lair, where they're serviced by four delectable blondes. Buxom Brittany Skye normally raises the roof on any feature she's in, but she's wasted here as an anonymous slut decked out in cheesy Red Sonja regalia. If you're the kind of guy who enjoys mastur-bating to video-game chicks and Japanese cartoons, stick to Sailor Moon and shun Angel X's hellish hybrid.   Collapse.
