Lubricants View All
You got to have good lube - and plenty of it. The lubricant market is vastly diverse and rich: there are environmentally friendly lubricants, flavored lubricants, anti-bacterial lubricants, and lubes for different purposes — let alone silicone and water-based lubricants. In general, silicone lubricants last longer with less lube and are thicker, don’t get sticky, and stay on in water (which means they’re harder to clean off). Water-based lubricants are generally better for use with silicone and soft/cyberskin sex toys, are easier to clean but are not effective in or with water, and they tend to dry out much faster than silicone. In general, glycerin-free, water-based lubricants are best for vaginal sex (lubricants with glycerin can contribute to yeast infection and silicone lubricants are harder to clean) while silicone is better for masturbation in general, and anal play in particular. There are now hybrids which attempt to combine the best of both, such as Please Cream Lubricant and the Sliquid Silk Lube.
